My first review.... Taylor Swift's latest album Speak Now
I know there are a lot of people who think Taylor Swift can't sing and isn't talented.... Truth is she CAN and she IS. Taylor Swift is crazy talented! She has written dozens and dozens of songs. Each song that she releases is always an instant hit. She writes songs that are real and have meaning. She doesn't hold back. People can relate to her music and to her.
Take her new single for instance "Mean" I think every one can relate to this song:

We've all had a bully in our lives at some point. Someone who will say anything mean to hurt you and try to make them feel better about themselves. I think she gets so much negativity from people trashing her singing and this is basically her saying who cares?! Thats how we should all look at it. We should just forget those negative people in our lives and just try to better ourselves. Not for their sake but for our now. Because we can.
She songs of falling in love, of heartbreak, of loss and hope. Something everyone goes through and feels.
What always amazes me is how truly shocked she is everytime she wins an award or receives a standing ovation, she hasn't let the fame go to her head like so many do. She has class. And for you critics out there, I'd like to see you go and write and sing multiple hit songs. I've seen her live and she really can sing, for some reasons she gets nervous at awards shows and isn't always the best. But she always puts 100 percent as best she can into her performances and always goes all.(This here is my all time favorite live performance by her and I wish she'd release a cover of this song)
I absolutely LOVE this album. She is such a great song writer and her lyrics are so catchy. I Highly recommend it!
(Sorry I ramlbed in this one and didn't do much of an album review it self, I'll probably go back through and fix some stuff later!)
I love Taylor's lyrics, I haven't heard her sing live. But I think she is a great songwriter!
ReplyDeleteI don't like her because most of her songs I've heard are cheesy "I'm better than your girlfriend" songs. like dissing on other girls, and I think that's lame.
