Josh Kelley Videos

So it is taking FOREVER to get my Videos up here on my blog..... I have to upload it to a youtube video (which takes an hour) and THEN I can put them on here. If anyone knows a faster way PLEASE let me know!

But here is Georgia Clay, Josh Kelleys 1st single of his new country album

I will get the others up here soon. He sang a really sweet one about his little girl he and his wife adopted from Korea that I just loved so Ill do that video next!

American Idol

So............. I wasn't going to watch. The last few years I haven't particularly liked the show. There has been some great talent but there was just something missing. I didn't really like that fact that they were getting new judges. But I ended up switching over for a minute while I was watching The Middle and there was a commercial. I ended up staying on Idol, forgetting to go back to The Middle.

It was SO good, I really like having Steven Tyler (even tho he's crazy) And Jennifer Lopez on there judging with Randy Jackson.

There is already some amazing talent coming out of the first night! Here are some of my favorites

Travis Orlando, reminds me of a young Bruno Mars. This boy will go far
Victoria Huggins- She was so funny and sweet. You couldnt help but like her

Kenzie Palmer- I wish I had her voice. She'll go far in country Music!

Those are my pics so far..... Ill update this after tonights episode!

Game Review: Hit The Deck

So my friends and I get together often and have game nights. I figured I'd start doing some game reviews for those of you who might also do them with your friends. Im always looking for new games too so if you have any recommendations let me know
The first one Im going to review is called Hit The Deck.
If you like Uno you will like this game! It really is a pretty simple and not too long! It is for 2 to 6 players.
here are what the cards look like
Shuffle the  cards and deal each person 7. The person to the left of the dealer goes first
You can lay down a matching # or color, A wild(a wild can not be played on a S card) or a S (S is a search card, when played the person whos turn is next must take from the draw pile until they draw a # card.) Search cards can only be played on # or R cards. R  (reverse) can be played on any matching color or other R other cards. HIT cards can be layed down at anytime. (If you have all 3 HIT THE DECk you can lay them down at once) Once a Hit is played it cant be stopped, the next person must lay down THE, if they cant do so they must draw a card and the next person goes. When you lay down DECK you must call out hit the deck, and you take the pile.

This is the back of the cards, When you cant go and you have to draw a card you have to draw however many the back of the card says.  And then it is the next persons turn. If its a color you must draw until you get that color. You may lay that card down to prove you got that color. and F is flip, you just turn that card over onto the top of the discard pile.

She person gets rid of all their cards first wins, they then count how many hit the decks they have and get one point for each set.  They also get one point for each number card the other players are holding. The other players get one point for each hit the deck set they have. First person to 50 wins the game.

Sorry If i made this sound really confusing! This really was a fun game to play and probably a lot simpler than I made it sound!!  I bought it at Smiths Market Place for I think around 8 dollars.
If you want a simple card game to play while hanging out around the table talking, this is one to get!

Restaurant Review: Benihanas

Today my friend Heather and I, along with my little niece ventured out to Salt Lake to have lunch at Benihanas. It was SO yummy! I love how they cook the food right in front of you, my niece however didn't (She clung to me and wouldn't look up until the chef had left!
Normally this isn't a place I could ever afford to go to but, i signed up for their emails because I had heard the send you a $30 gift card for your birthday. (even though it is worth $30 it only covers the meal of the birthday person.) The kids meals are kinda pricey luckily my niece only wanted rice, and I shouldn't have even ordered her any. I got so much I should have just shared.
Our cook was nice and pretty funny too. The service was friendly and efficient.
I ordered the Lemon Hibachi Chicken, It was delicious! It came with a salad (which was the only thing I didnt like, the dressing was way too strong for my liking.) Hibachi rice and veggies.
At the end of the meal since I was going in for my birthday they brought me some Ice Cream and took our picture and brought it back to us in a little frame.
I will definitely be going back here for lunch again sometime. It was such a fun experience, I highly recommend going sometime!

Josh Kelley

Today my friend Heather and I went to a Bull Pen at KBull 93's radio station. Ive been to a few of them but I have to say this was my favorite one yet! Josh Kelley has been one of my favorites for a long long time since before he decided to go country! His song Amazing is in my top 5 favorite songs of all time! I cant wait for his new album to drop! I think he actually sounds just as good, if not better live than on radio! He will do really well in country music.
But for those of you who don;t quite know who he is, He is brother to Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum AND he is also married to actress Katherine Heigl who is one of my all time favorite actresses.

Here are some pictures. Ill post videos once I can get that to work!
Heather and Josh

Me and Josh

So much fun! Thanks KBull! These are one of my absolute favorite things to do! They are always fun and so far everyone I have met has been super nice and some have already starting to become really popular!

Reviews. Yes? No? Maybe

Ive been thinking about writing reviews for things I do. Movies I see, new restaurants I try, games I play ( I go to ALOT of game nights), books I read, recipes I try, etc, etc.

What do you all think?

Life Is A Test

So I dont really know why Im posting this next one or where its really coming from, its just somethings Ive been thinking about and have a feeling that I should share it with all of you . Ill probably go through and add more thoughts to it later. Sorry its all over the place

We are all going to be test and tried, we cant get through life with out it. Each of us will be tested and tried differently. No trial is the same. Each of us will react to trials differently. Some will act out in anger, some will try to pretend like nothing happened, some will turn from God and Others will run to Him.

We should all run to him. We should fall to our knees and allow him to comfort us. Sometimes He is the only one who can.

Trials are not a punishment. They are to make us stronger. The Lord isnt going to give us anything we cant handle, its just up to us to decide if we do and how we do.

When given a trial we should try asking how can this help me? Instead of why me?

Ive been reading a book called The 12 Purposes of Life. Purpose Two is to be tested. It says "It is part of Gods purpose for us that we struggle through life. Through that process we will prove who we really are-and we will grow to be better. But we are not alone in our struggles. The Lord is ever near us, and he will bless us if we ask."

Some tests may require great sacrifice. Some patients. Some will cause great heartache.

We are all given custom designed trials. We are all tested in certain ways for certain reasons. We can always find someone who is what we think is worse off than ourselves. We need to look for our blessings in our trials. They're there. I promise.

Christmas, New Years Eve and My Birthday

This Year Christmas was strange, good but strange. And quiet. Very quiet. With both my brothers being away on missions and my niece only being here for Christmas eve until noon on Christmas day there wasnt much going on. We did get to talk to both of my brothers for a little while Christmas day. It was good to hear from both of. That night I had a few friends over to hang out and play games.

New Years Eve, I worked both jobs, then I went to a dance up at the U with Melissa and Tazia and some of their friends. It was great! Probably the best New Years Eve ever!

New Years Day is my birthday. I usually hate my birthday, everyone is still out of town from Christmas or they still have family in town  but this year I actually liked my birthday!! I went out to dinner with a bunch of friends, like 16 to be exact, we went to Joy Luck then a few of us went and played games, Then I went and got dessert with my friend Heather. Then sunday my family did a birthday dinner, my mom made super yummy chicken rolls and rice! Yum! One of my favorite meals!

I really have some of the best friends and family anyone could ask for! They all do so much for me and I love and appreciate them all!
