November

November is here! That means Thanksgiving will soon be upon us! Then Christmas, New Years/ My Birthday and then my brothers will be home from their missions! Woohoo! But first things firsts!

I Decided a while ago that during the month of November that I would blog everyday about something I am thankful for! And it looks like I'm not the only one with the idea from the looks of others blog posts today!

The world is so full of greedy people and people wanting things now . No one takes the time to appreciate what they have and to often people don't express their gratitude for anything anymore.

"Gratitude is a mark of a noble soul and a refined character. We like to be around those who are grateful. They tend to brighten all around them. They make others feel better about themselves. They tend to be more humble, more joyful, more likable." ~ Joseph B. Wirthlin

My first post of thankfulness is Fall! I LOVE fall!

I love the changing of the leaves! I love looking out my bedroom and seeing the temple up on the mountain surrounded by all the gorgeous colors! I love it when its just right for sweaters and light jackets! Hot chocolate! Hot chocolate is one of my most favorite things ever!

Taylor Swift

Just 4 days until Taylor Swifts concert!! I am so excited! She is one of my absolute favorites! I went to her concert two years ago, she is the best performer I have ever seen!

I've been hearing that at all of her concerts this tour she has brought other singers up on stage with her, like in Nashville it was Tim McGraw, Andy Grammar and a few others. It'll be itneresting to see who she has with her for Salt Lake, speculation is David Archuletta. Guess we will see!

Walk to Cure NF

On Saturday Oct 1st there will be a NF Cure Walk for the Childrens Tumor Foundation In Salt Lake City.

First off I have to say I am horrible with words. so Hopefully I can put this all into words for you to understand.

I have suffered from Neurofibromatosis for most my life. I was diagnosed with the NF type ! when I was just a couple months old.  When I was about 6 I started to get migraines all the time would I would pass out from. It became routine for my friend in the neighborhood to have to run across the street to my house to get my parents because I had collapsed again! Doctors ran all sorts of brain scans and tests and nada. They couldn't find anything.

At this time I was also suffering from lots of ear aches and infections, so it was decided that I needed tubes put in my ear. It was during this surgery that it was discovered that I had a tumor growing on my cranial nerves. From here we went from doctor to doctor and test to test to see what could be done. all this while the tumor is growing like crazy. NF is a fairly common disorder. But the places where my tumors were located were uncommon. Doctors couldn't find anyone with the same growths as me, except for an older man in France.

By the are of 7 I wasnt given much hope of surviving. In fact i was given less than 6 months.

At one point I was hooked up to a morphine pain pump at all times. I had a feeding tube and a lot of the time I had to use a wheel chair or was basically bed ridden. I had a Broviac Catheter that a nurse would come every few days to switch out the needle. One time she sneezed on the area and didn't clean well enough and I got a major staff infection that almost killed me and I had to be rushed into surgery to remove it and they replaced it with a central line.

One day, my pain pump malfunctioned giving me way more morphine than my body could handle. We were getting ready for a doctors appointment when I collapsed. My mom called 911 and when they got there they asked my mom if she even wanted them to work on me because I was basically already gone. While they were reading the machine to see the doses I had been getting, it turned out my doctor  had been overdosing me on the morphine for a while. I had been taking daily doses that were more than to call a large horse. Even tho I did need it for the pain, I  had been taking  such large doses of it that I had become severely addicted to the drug and had to be taken off of it cold turkey (if any of you have ever tried to overcome an addiction, you know its hard, try doing it when you are only EIGHT).

After that my mom fired all doctors and  had  the feeding tube and central line removed. I'm now 24 and I've since then have seen specialist sparatically through out the years. But they all say the same thing. Nothing can be done. One doctor even took it to a convention where every other surgeon there agreed it would be to risky to operate. Id most likely die on the operation table, my air way is to obstructed so there is no way to intibate. Id have a seizure or bleed out. And even if they could operate the tumor is growing off important nerves, in order to get all of the tumor they would have to cut into the nerve, Id be paralyzed. Or if they missed any little piece of tumor it'd grow back large than it was before.

So I basically just have to live with this hope that they can someday find a cure. I probably won't be around long enough to see that happen, I know this. My last MRI results weren't good. I try to live as normal of a life as possible, I just have to take extra cautions with everyting I do. I can't get bumped in the head or neck because the anyursms in neck could burst easily, quickly killing me. Little things like catching the flu become instantly life threatening. Last time I had the flu, I got so sick so fast and they couldn't find a pulse. They had told my parents I was dead.

Im not the only one that this has been hard on. My family has sacrificed so much for me because of this. We have moved numerous times, selling homes and vehicles to pay medical bills. My family has done with out vacations and extras because I was to sick or we could never afford it. My brothers weren't able to play on little league teams and had to give up lots of the extras that their friends had. This has affected them too.

NF is just as common as cancer. But at least with cancer there's a chance to be cured with chemo and radiation! With NF there is NO cure, even if a tumor can be removed, NF is still there, it never goes away. And for most NF patients having a tumor removed isn't an option.

If  all I can do is help raise money so that someone else doesn't have to go through what my family and I have been through than at least I'm doing something to help. So please, come join in this walk. And if you can't please consider making a donation. Invite everyone you know to join the facebook event I created and encourage them to make a donation. Even if you only make a one dollar donation its something! And it'd mean the world to me!

Life!

“This life is what you make it. Not matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you're going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends - they'll act like it anyway. But just remember, some come, some go. The ones that stay with you through everything - they're your true best friends. Don't let go of them. Also remember, sisters make the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they'll come and go too. And babe, I hate to say it, most of them - actually pretty much all of them are going to break your heart, but you can't give up because if you give up, you'll never find your soul mate. You'll never find that half who makes you whole and that goes for everything. Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don't, then who will, sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about.”

Backstage at Flatts Fest!

Yup I totally won backstage passes to meet RASCAL FLATTS! How cool is that? Seriously?! It was a text in contest from Z104 (formerly the Cowboy). I sat there texting them over and over trying to win the pass! They announced that they had text the winner so I checked my phone and nothing. We waited a few a minutes to see if I'd get one but didn't so decided to just go into the concert. As we were walking they announced again for people to check there phone to see if they'd won. I said to my friend "I just want them to text me and tell me I've won." As soon as I finished saying that my phone went off and I received the following text "You are the winner come by the z104 tent and show this text" I FREAKED! (for those of you who know me, know that Im a fairly calm person, so the scream and the squealing was not something normal. Im sure I freaked out everyone around me) So Jackie and I booked it back to the radio stations tent and showed them the text (where the DJ said to me "I should have known that was your number!" Ha ok so I win alot of concert tickets, but never beackstage passes) I was lucky enough to win TWO passes so my friend could come with me!

Weren't allowed to take our own pictures or get autographs but they had someone there taking pictures for us and they were uploaded that night so we could get it. It turned out pretty great! The guys were way sweet! It was so exciting to get to meet them! And the concert was a blast! I'll write about that later!

Never Again.....

Will i eat at Iggys in Centerville! Last time I went there was a disaster! Our waiter was friendly (which is rare) but a complete scatter brain! The food was decent. But Monday morning (We went on a Saturday) when I was checking my bank account, I noticed my bank account was over drawn by .04 cents (which Im always way careful about. it always gets WAY close but i never over draft). The stupid server had charged my card for $8.90 MORE than I had signed for. Seriously!? I was so ticked!!! So I called and spoke to a manager and she was super nice and kept apologizing (she called me a couple times to keep me updated on fixing the problem) and told me she couldn't authorize a refund but the general manager would be in the next day and he would call me first thing and take care of it. So the next day I don't get a call so at 5 that evening I call and the general manager isn't in. So i talked to some other manager named "Rich" who was basically a jerk! He didn't apologize once, rushed to get me off the phone, and was just like your money is here whenever you want to come get it.

So I went in the next day and talked to another manager (Seriously, how many "managers" do they have) who gave me my money back and told me the general manager would be calling the next day to apologize. Yup no phone call. No apology. The whole situation should have been handled a lot differently I think. So I won't be going back to this location. I love Iggy's food. But the service and management is junk!

So if you ever go here. Take cash.

Netflix

I love Netflix right now. I'd been planning on buying a couple season's of Grey`s Anatomy and they were all, well almost all, on There. I love that show. If you haven't ever gotten into you should.

There's also a few movie's I've watched on Netflix that are pretty good that i watched that I'd never even heard of before. I thought I'd do a couple reviews on a few of them.

First up: My Girlfriends Boyfriend. This one is SO cute. Filmed locally in Salt Lake the movie follows the adventures of a girl named Jesse (played by Alyssa Milano who is one of my favorite actress's who BTW had her baby boy Milo today, a random side note I thought Id share) as she tries to balance dating to guys. One a super rich, super handsome (Or well he's suppose to be, I didn't think He was all that attractive) CEO of a advertising company. The other a guy who's a little on the dorkier side, but still cute, who is a struggling writer and can't get anything published. She knows she's going to eventually have to pick but when she does will a secret from her past keep the man from loving her back? And the twist at the end will definitely be a surpirse you weren't expecting. I've seen this twice now and plan on buying it!

Number Two: Elle A Modern Cinderella Tale. This movie was actually pretty adorable. Its kinda like Another Cinderella Story (Ya know the one with Selena Gomez and Drew Seeley) Mixed with every Disney/ABC Family movie about going for your dreams out there.  Elle Daniels parents die in a plane crash. She is sent to live with her "Uncle" (really just a close family friend) who is owner of a record label. So I was expecting him to be mean, since technically his role would be the wicked step mother. But he's not. He's a good guy. Just to wrapped up in his work to really give her attention. Elle is an intern at his record label with her best friend. Anyways its your typical "modern Cinderella story" boy charming see's girl, falls for girl, girl runs away, boy can't find girl. You do have your typical "step sisters" they are a girl band at the record label who basically Elle has to do what ever they tell her to do. They find out she is Ty (Prince Charmings) Mystery girl and set out to sabotage her once they find out Elle is this SUPER talented country singer. Anyways.......... Long story short its a fairly predictable movie, similar plot to what we've all seen before. But it was still way cute and my description isn't doing it any justice. If you have Netflix and need a movie where you don't have to think and don't want to cry (because we all have those nights where we just need simple) go with this one!

I have a few more that I will blog about a later date!

day 5: your parents (Mondays Post)

Yup once again, I got behind. I really shouldnt even bother playing catch up, but what else is there to do?!

My parents are the best. And i really dont express that often enough. They have done so much for and sacrificed so often the things they need/want to help me with everything I have had to go through.I couldnt ask for better parents!

They do so much for others to. They never expect things in return.

Lets see.... My works for Architectural Building Supply in SLC. He's also really good at building things! (if you have ever seen my bookcase or tv stand.... or my house you know this to be true)

My mom is a VERY talented cook (look for her cookbook to come out someday, hopefully soon) and very talented at sewing things.

Im kind of a big deal.....

So ever hear of the band Steel Magnolia? Well they are pretty much amazing and so so nice too! (I met them last summer when they opened Brad Paisley, which I'm looking through my posts and apparently I have never blogged about that, I will, a year late, but I will.)
Anyways I follow them on twitter and the other day they had on there that if you DM (direct messaged) them your number they would pick 3 fans and call them! Yup I was one of those 3 people.
Joshua Scott Jones of the country duo called ME! Like I said, I'm kind of a big deal....  I'm pretty sure I mostly just rambled about nothing important but it was SO COOL and he was so nice! How many of you can say that a celebrity has called you on the phone?! Yup I totally have bragging rights now! Seriously tho how many celebs really take the time out of their day to do something like this? It makes me like the band that much more that they take their personal time to call and get to know their fans just a little bit more! It shows that they actually care about their fans, which if you have ever met them you also can tell is very apparent!

For those of you who dont know who the band is, here is my favorite song by them!

You should all check them out and then go buy their album!

Christmas......... Yes Im already thinking that far ahead!

So Christmas is in just 6 months! SIX! IT seems like we just had Christmas last week! I'm starting to plan NOW what I want to get people for Christmas, My goal is to be completely done shopping by November so that way I can just relax and enjoy the holidays. I seem to put off Christmas shopping til the last minute usually and then I just settle for what I want to give to people and there isn't really any thought or reason to what I get for them. So I'm starting now. In fact i already have a few things! But I want to try and do a mostly homemade Christmas! SO that's one of the reasons that I am starting now. I tend to start something and not finish it. I'm a procrastinator to the extreme! So for all of you creative crafty people out there! Send me some ideas, links, patterns, etc! I already have a few ideas of what I want to do! Now I just need some more! Mort the ideas are I have are for girls and well since I have all brothers that doesn't really work! So let me know what you got!

day 4: a dream of yours (Sundays Post)

Okay here is Sundays post! A dream of mine?
I love books. And I love writing. My favorite class in High School was probably creative writing.  I guess one of my dreams would be to one day write a book and have it published.

I also wish I could sing. If I could have anyones voice its a tie between Carrie Underwood and Jessie James (if you dont know who she is look her up).

I'd be happy with any musical talent really. But alas I have none. :( O well in the next life maybe!

day 3: pet peeves

So I missed posting the last couple days because I have been sick in bed! So Im playing catch up, but what else is new? I always get behind. So this was suppose to be Saturdays post so here it is now!

Pet Peeves. Hmmmm..... I absolutely cant stand it when people slurp their food, its SO annoying. And rude! I just hate it when people are loud eaters in general. I dont need to hear you chewing your food. Its nasty.

Guys who wear too much cologne. seriously I shouldn't be able to smell you from the next room. I dont care that it smells like abercrombie, its still too much!

Mean people. Whats the point? I could go on about this for a while. But really? Does trashing someone on your blog or facebook really make you feel like that much better of a person. It doesn't matter that you aren't using names. We all know who you're talking about. If I can figure it out Im sure the person you are making fun of can too. Its such wasted energy to sit there and be nice to their face and then turn around and make fun of them for the whole world to see. Especially when the targeted person has never done anything wrong. Thats what really gets me. I. Just. Don't. Get. It. If that's what it takes to make you feel good about yourself, then maybe you need to reevaluate your life. No one is perfect by any means. We've all said things about others we shouldn't have but some NEVER STOP.
Thats it I'll stop now. I could go on and on and on tho.

Favorite Part of the Day 5/20/11

Today after work Jackie and I went to Joy Luck for lunch, if you have never been they have the BEST fried cheese wontons and egg drop soup EVER! Yum. I constantly crave it! I ordered the sweet n sour shrimp. Also delicious!
After that we went over to Genx because I needed a tan shirt to layer with another shirt I had bought months ago and Genx is super cheap! Well not only did I get the tan shirt but I got 7 other shirts too. Yeah I got just a tad bit carried away. But hey their cheap so its okay right? I mean it ended up only being about 4.75 a shirt.  I love that store!

day 2: your favorite movie

I love love love movies. So I cant pick just one. If I absolutely had to pick only one I guess I'd go with A Walk To Remember, because its the one that I probably watch the most! So here are my top 5 favorites in random order, I could go on forever about movies I love but I'll stop at 5!

1. A Walk To Remember

 2. Crossroads

 3. Step Up

4.Miracle

5.Simply Irresistible

Favorite part of my day 5-19-11

So if you hang around me and my friend Jackie long enough you will come to find that we both tend to randomly quote lines from youtube videos. Most the time its one specific youtube video. Have you ever seen Marcel The Shell With Shoe On? If you haven't you should watch it. Its definitely one of those that is so ridiculous that its hilarious! And very few people ever know what we're talking about when we quote so they just think we're crazy(we kinda are) and try to figure out whats going on. So anyways this morning I woke up to a text from our friend Ashley Marie asking about said video."What is the name of that you tube video you and Jackie quote with the sunburn comment?". Totally made me laugh. Because really we do quote it all the time! So here it is for all of you to enjoy now too.

Ideas?!

I'm always running out of things to say on my blog. I need to find more little daily challenge posts to do? Anyone know of any? I also feel like so often lately things are so negative, so each day (at least that's what I'm going to shoot for) I'm going to blog about my favorite thing that happened during the day. No matter how small or insignificant it maybe. You have to look for the good things sometimes to realize they're right? Not everything is bad. If you look around you there is always someone a lot worse off then you are, no matter how horrible and unfair you think things are. It could be worse. Promise. So that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to try and find the good in everyday. I bet if we all sit and think there's more happiness in our lives than we realize there is. Happiness is a choice! So its something that made me laugh or smile or touched me in anyway Im going to blog about it. Im trying to keep my blog and my life as clean from negativity as possible.

I also need some ideas for my other blog so if you have any let me know. Its all about music. :)

Now add up the total number of points.
OVER 60 POINTS: Others see you as someone they should "handle with care." You're seen as vain, self-centered, and extremely dominant. Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like you, but don't always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you.
51 TO 60 POINTS: Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality, a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once, someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate.
41 TO 50 POINTS: Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting, someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding, someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out.
31 TO 40 POINTS: Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expects the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you, realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over if that trust is ever broken.
21 TO 30 POINTS: Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It would really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then, usually decide against it They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful nature.
UNDER 21 POINTS: People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs looking after, who always wants someone else to make the decisions and who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or anything! They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist. Some people think you're boring. Only those who know you well, know that you aren't.

Just some random happenings!

So Ive been horrible at posting on this blog lately. HORRIBLE. Seriously. I just have nothing important to say.... Not that, that has ever stopped me before. I tend to ramble on about pointless things anyways no matter how insignificant they just may be (if you follow me on twitter you know this to be true there too). I need to something intersting in my life to happen, on a consistent basis, so I can blog. Lately I just work, and go home and watch tv. Half the time Im just to tired to do anything and the other half there just inst anything to do. So I guess i will fill you in on the couple intersting things that have happened lately. Im writing this at work so I dont have access to any of my pictures so they will come later!

So Monday, My friend Heather and I got the chance to meet Hunter Hayes. If you read my other blog I actually posted a story about him over a week ago, totally unaware that he'd soon be coming to Salt Lake on his current radio tour! You can read that story HERE.
Anyways I only recently discovered Hunter but I am a huge fan!  He's an amazing artist and such a nice and down to earth guy! I was pretty stoaked to get to meet him!

Thats the most exciting thing that has happened lately. That I can think of anyways. I haven't even won any concert tickets lately! Weird right? Maybe I'm losing my touch because I definitely have been trying my hardest!

So I found these quotes today and I love them. I love quotes in general and collect them. They're written down in all sorts of random note books and hung up in my room.

Practice hope. As hopefulness becomes a habit, you can achieve a permanently happy spirit.
     - Norman Vincent Peale -
Being happy doesn’t mean everything is perfect. It means you have decided to look beyond the imperfections.
     - Author unknown -
Feeling sorry for yourself, and your present condition, is not only a waste of energy but the worst habit you could possibly have.

Anyways that is all for now!

Author Interview: Kathi Oram Peterson

Kathi Oram Peterson is one of my favorite others and I had so much fun interviewing her! She is such a sweet lady and very talented writer!  I read her first book The Forgotten Warrior in one night! I couldn't put it down! Be sure to go get her books and follow her on her blog here.
I Hope you all enjoy reading this interview as much as I did!

1. Can you tell me a little about yourself?
As you probably know I love to write books. In books I can travel the world, have a black belt in karate, meet ancient prophets in the Book of Mormon and the Bible, ride a horse high in the Tetons, and bravely track down a killer. Away from my stories though, I love just hanging out with my family watching movies, shopping, or playing golf. I have a little Yorkie named Elizabeth Bennett (yes, I love Jane Austen and her book, Pride and Prejudice), but we call her Lizzie. She's my little buddy.

2.What inspired you to become a writer?
I've always loved reading stories, but it wasn't until after I had my first child that I seriously thought of writing a book. I'd read all the books that I had and all of my mother's when she told me I should try and write a novel of my own. That started me on a very long, long journey to publication, but finally I made it.

3. What do you do when you aren't writing your latest book?
I love going to the movies. A good movie pulls you into the story, much like a novel, and for two hours you can forget all your troubles and either laugh, cry, or become scared to death. I also enjoy golfing with my husband. Don't tell him, but I have more fun driving the cart around the course than actually swinging my club.

4.  How long does it take you to write a book?
There's a lot that goes into writing a novel. The rough draft takes several months, but then I like to let the book sit for a while. After a month or so I'll go back and re-read it, editing and filling in  holes as I go. After that I have some close writer friends read the book for me. They have a good eye for places that may need more clarification. Once they are finished, I will then send it to my editor. Depending on the book this may take six months to a year.

5.What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?
It never ceases to amaze me how my characters will take over the story. And you pretty much have to let them. That doesn't mean I don't outline and have a good idea of where the story needs to go, but I try to be flexible so I can be true to my characters.

6. How many books have you written?
I have several novels that haven't been published yet. I'm always hopeful that I can fix them. After May I will have four published novels. Do you have a favorite? Of course. It's always the one that was just released. :) Actually I love each one of my books. I've lived their stories right along with them. I've cried when they cried, laughed when they laughed. I think every author leaves part of themselves in each book.

7. Who is one (or some) of your favorite author(s) and why?
There are so many. I have been very fortunate to know many talented authors, some are very good friends. But one author that I met briefly whose stories were a great influence on me was Mary Higgins Clark.

8. Do you have any suggestions for other writers who hope to one day publish their book?
The best advice I could give them is to believe in themselves. Look at each rejection as a stepping stone that will make your writing stronger. I have a file folder full of rejections. I look at them with pride for they helped me grow and learn.

9. Do you have a favorite compliment you have received on your writing?
I have the best fans. I love hearing from them. I do remember one young woman who wrote to me about The Forgotten Warrior. She told me that reading my book inspired her to read the Book of Mormon. For me, that was the highest compliment ever.

10. Growing up did you ever want to be anything other than an author?
I wanted to be a mother. My family comes first with me. But other than that, I've always wanted to be a writer.

11. What makes this book so different from your others?
The Forgotten Warrior and The Stone Traveler were both young adult time travels. I loved writing those books. An Angel on Main Street was a little Christmas story that I had to write because it reminded me of my hometown. River Whispers is a romantic suspense, which is totally different from my other novels.

12. Tell me about this book.
I got the idea for this book coming home from a fishing trip with my sister. She asked me what I was going to write about next. Thinking over where we'd just been I told her, "A woman who while fishing finds a dead man in the willows." The idea took off from there. I absolutely love the main character, Regi Bernard. She's a woman who speaks her mind and has a hard time controlling her temper, but underneath she has a tender heart. Here's the book trailer for River Whispers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtd3yR8OeDE

13. What can we look forward to seeing next from you?
Last month I turned in the sequel to The Forgotten Warrior. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my publisher will buy it, but if they don't I'm determined to find that book a home, so stay tuned about that. I just finished the rough draft of a book with the working title Raven Spirit. It's another romantic suspense and takes place in Alaska. Right now, I'm working on a YA time travel with the working title Chasing the Star. I thought this would be a two book story, but I've decided to make it one book. It takes a sister and brother back in time. The girl finds herself with a Roman soldier and the boy finds himself with a shepherd family. I'm very hopeful you'll see more of my novels.

Thanks Kathi! This was fun! Hope you all enjoyed this!

New Blog

Sp I started a new blog for all of my music adventures and reviews. If you ever have any suggestions of someone I should review let me know! Click HERE for the new blog! Thanks!

MRI Results

We got my MRI results on Friday and they weren't good..... They were less than good! The tumor has grown significantly, my airway is now severely obstructed when 3 years ago it was only slightly obstructed. I have two aneurysms on my left carotid artery. One if which is really major and not in a good position and is already tearing. I was suppose to see a doctor today to see if he can do anything but after he looked over my results and scans his office called yesterday afternoon and canceled the appointment and said that there is nothing he can do.

The MRI itself tho was a hassle. They didnt want to run all the scans that the doctor had ordered saying "They were unnecessary and its just overkill to do that many." And that "you can just come back if you need more." Since when do the radiologists and techs get to decide what is necessary? So they only did 2 of them, took out my IV and said they were done. Lucky my mom was there and told them that they had no choice and they were doing all scans requested they took me back hooked up another IV (which is seriously the worst part about these things for me, I HATE HATE HATE needles with a passion, they're the worst things ever to me) They then ran the last 3 scans. If they hadn't done these they wouldnt have found the aneurysms.

So thats about all the results I have for now. We're working on some other doctors to see, but really in my case they never really know anything and since my case is so rare its pretty much all just experimental because they don't ever have anything to compare it to.

I'll Be The Greatest Fan Of Your Life- Edwin McCain concert

So there was this concert on that if you weren't there you truly missed on something amazing and well.... EPIC! And for those of you who did, I know you'll agree with me when I say, If you have not seen Edwin McCain live before well, then you need to! He is seriously one of the best performers I have ever seen. Truly an American classic. You should all add seeing him in concert to your bucket list. Just to see him sing "I'll Be"  was worth the hour drive. And if you're sitting here wondering who he is. Watch the videos I have posted that I took. Guaranteed you have heard his music before."I'll Be"(It was a huge hit for him back in '98) has been in numerous tv shows and movies. "I Could Not Ask For More" (another big hit back in 2000) was on the movie Message In A Bottle. It was also redone by country singer Sara  Evans. I can't even put into enough words how fantastic he was. Ive always liked his music a ton. "I'll Be" has always been one of my top 5 favorite songs, but after seeing him perform live I am now ten times the fan that I was before! I could go on forever about how much I loved his performance but Ill just let his music videos prove to you how great he was rather than me rambling on relentlessly. (In the I'll Be video, go to 5:26 into it and thats my favorite part of the whole night)

The other performance at this concert were just as great. There was Ryan Innes a local here in Utah who I have a feeling is going to hit it big one day. He has an incredible voice and is so talented. I added his cd to the playlist at work first Saturday morning when I got there. I can't get enough of his song Call To Arms. In fact Im listening to it right now as I write this.I found this article that gives a bit of a background on him. Im wanting to do interviews on my blog (which is why I started it in the first place) And im hoping Ill be able to be lucky enough to interview him for it! So watch for it, Ill let you know if I can make it happen.

Local country band Jagertown performed next. Love them. They have such great energy and there songs are great. There someone else you can expect to see burning up the charts one day. They're so nice to. Both times Ive met them they have all been super friendly. I also saw them when they opened up for Neal McCoy a couple weeks ago. Here is an article I found on them for you. They're definitely a band you should check out in your spare time!

Sarah Darling was next. She was incredible. Such a beautiful, pure voice and such a sweet girl too! She just did an accoustic set. I loved it. Her song Something To Do With Your Hands is climbing charts. I also added her music to the playlist at work on saturday. Expect to see great things from this girl.

Tyler Hilton, honestly the real reason I went to this concert. I am a HUGE Tyler Hilton fan, and if you don't know his music, don't worry, you soon will and you'll be a fan. If you mock him you'll soon be eating your words once you actually listen to his music, just ask Devan. I made him a fan. It seriously amazes me that Tyler isnt more popular than he is. He is so much more talented than half the people on the radio. And he is the nicest guy. I didnt get to talk to him this concert but I did back in October when he was. Well kinda. I sorta had a hard time spitting any words about him. But even with as much as I love Tyler Hilton, I think he may, just may, have lost my heart to Edwin McCain as a performer! Both are so incredible tho that its kinda hard to choose!

(Videos are taking forever to upload onto youtube so i can put them on here so Ill update and post them as soon as they're all ready)
